Serie de TV de 164 episodios (1992-1999). Jaime (Helen Hunt) y Paul Buchman (Paul Reiser), dos neoyorquinos recién casados, tratan de establecer una reglas de convivencia en su apartamento de Manhattan. Se conocen desde hace unos cinco meses y la relación entre ellos no resulta muy fácil , pues ambos son bastante neuróticos, aunque cada uno a su manera. Él es director de documentales, creativo pero cauto. Ella, una ejecutiva de relaciones públicas, tiene un espíritu más libre pero es algo maniática.
